19.Chris Jericho (4) 06/14/98-Baltimore, Maryland, United States (Baltimore Arena) - Great American Bash 00:13:50 Jericho wins by disqualification and is then declared the Champion because the Title was vacant going into the match Rey Misterio, Jr.is the surprise opponent after Dean Malenko is suspended for attacking Jericho prior to the Bash at the Beach Pay-Per-View event (7/12/98). Misterio wins the match but then the next night Jericho cites a rule that says that a suspended wrestler (Malenko) can not be in the arena and affect the contest during a Title match to force WCW to return the belt to him.
